Webbasically, whenever i have SMAPI installed - even with no mods - it overrides any controller mapping i have set, as well as overriding the game's default controller settings. with SMAPI, the only things that work are right joystick for mouse movement and right trigger for right click. no movement etc. without SMAPI, steam controller mapping works.
