On the analysis of cutting-tool temperatures
Web26 de jun. de 2024 · Results show that temperature is much higher when drilling titanium Ti-6Al-4V than when drilling aluminium AA7075, with variations from 450 to 540 °C along the main cutting edge. Temperature variation along the cutting edge depends on cutting speed, work material and local geometry. Web9 de jan. de 2006 · The understanding of cutting temperature distribution at the presence of tool wear can aid in addressing important metal cutting issues such as part surface integrity, tool life and dimensional tolerance under practical operating conditions.

Web15 de ago. de 2024 · In recent years, different analytical thermal models to predict cutting temperatures have been developed in literature based on 2D modeling of the cutting process and the assumption that thermal conductivities of workpiece and chip are not dependent on temperature. Web15 de fev. de 2024 · To analyze the experimental results and find reasons for the decreased milling tool temperature at high cutting speed, we propose a tool temperature prediction model for slot milling insert. The effects of heat convection and heat conduction time on slot milling tool temperature are analyzed.
