The statistic is a modification of the well-known asymptotic test by Bowman and Shenton ( 1975 ), with alternative distributional assumptions which are more suitable for small samples. Webnormality: Shapiro-Wilk (SW) test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test, Lilliefors (LF) test and Anderson-Darling (AD) test. Power comparisons of these four tests were obtained via Monte Carlo simulation of sample data generated from alternative distributions that follow symmetric and asymmetric distributions.
