But I still wish for the option, as Rachel also suggested, to have the WebCAD programs typically aren't smart enough to draw thermal reliefs for any freeform geometries you assign to pads, but there may be some workarounds, like creating the extensions as their own pads, with the same pin # as the ones they're connected to. That might be a workable hack, short of manually drawing the connects yourself.

And there are basically no gains to be had from adding thermal pads on the backplate. The GDDR6 runs pretty cool as it is. GDDR6X is a whole different animal though.
