WebApr 14, 2024 · In view of the gas-liquid two-phase flow process in the oxygen-enriched side-blown molten pool, the phase distribution and manifold evolution in the side-blown furnace under different working conditions are studied. Based on the hydrodynamics characteristics in the side-blown furnace, a multiphase interface mechanism model of copper oxygen … WebMillimeter-sized air bubbles rising through still water are known to exhibit zigzag and spiral oscillatory trajectories. We present a system of four ordinary differential equations which effectively model these dynamics. The model is based on Kirchhoff’s equations and several physical arguments derived from our experimental observations. In the framework of this …
WebMar 1, 2016 · After a previous investigation of the rising motion of a gas bubble in a liquid metal under the influence of a vertical magnetic field, this new study focuses on the case of a uniform horizontal magnetic field. The numerical code is still the same: it is based on a volume-of-fluid technique and on an unstructured Cartesian adaptive grid system. WebThe model calculates direction, shape and rotation of the bubbles. A lateral force based on rotation and direction is modeled to finally create typical instable path lines. This is embedded in an EL simulation, which can resolve bubble size distribution, mass transfer and chemical reactions.
