WebOct 16, 2013 · Cyclotriveratrylenes (CTVs) [7,8,9,10] are cyclic molecular hosts that have been extensively employed in host–guest chemistry as a supramolecular scaffold [11,12,13,14,15]. WebWe describe here a controlled approach to C 1 ‐symmetrical cyclotriveratrylenes (CTVs). In this approach dimers are synthesized through Barluenga boronic coupling (BBC) and after borylation, the last aromatic ring is introduced by a second BBC. After functional transformations of the trimers, the CTVs are formed using intramolecular SEAr.
